Lone Star Stallion Incentive Auction Rules, TERMS, & Guidelines
Our goal with the Lone Star Stallion Incentive is to create an incentive that is Texas based, transparent to all involved, and to support the growth of the barrel racing industry while creating strong partnerships with stallion owners who choose to support our program.
- No Foal Nominations
- Stallions can join our incentive program by donating a breeding for us to auction off to the highest bidder or by paying a reference sire fee. Must be based in the United States or have frozen semen available in the United States if from other regions.
- All proceeds collected from the auction or reference sire fees will go towards the Lone Star Stallion Incentive race as added money held in conjunction with the Lone Star Shootout each January. $5,000 Stallion Bonus off the top followed by 45% Stallion Incentive Futurity, 20% Stallion Incentive Derby, 20% Stallion Owners, and 15% Advertising.
- How are we different? Stallions aren’t just locked into the 20% raised amount from the auction. For example, if Futurity/Derby fees are $500 for the Stallion Incentive, 80% payback, 10% to the stallion payout, 10% to the producer. Therefore the payout grows for the stallions with each entry.
- How are we different? Besides the stallion payout growing with each entry, we are adding a $5,000 Stallion Bonus. Points will be given to the top 15 in both the Futurity & Derby Averages of the Stallion Incentive. Stallion with the most points between the two classes will win the $5,000 Bonus Money! Stallion doesn’t have to have points in both classes, just whichever stallion has the most points. If needed we will drop to the top 20 in each class to determine the winner and so on.
